I grew up in Rexburg, ID where I attended Madison High School and then Ricks College (now known at BYU-Idaho). I spent two years in France and Belgium (Belgium Brussels mission) as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I received my B.S. in Mathematics Education from Utah State University (USU). Upon graduation I taught mathematics at Timpview High School in Provo, UT. I then returned to USU for a Masters of Mathematics. In the Fall of 1997 I moved from Logan, UT to Athens, GA where I earned a PhD in Mathematics Education from the Department of Mathematics Education at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Just prior to coming to BYU I taught for two years in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Portland State University. |
